During the first wave of COVID in 2020, we started off with an idea to democratize education. The underlying thought was simple: how do people who do not speak English take those amazing free open courses by Harvard, MIT, Yale, Princeton, etc.
Of course, we could get volunteers to dub them (like TED), but that solution was time-consuming, involved a lot of coordination, relied on people’s goodwill, and definitely not scalable. This is why we decided to solve this using technology.
In our effort to expand our warchest for large scale AI training we got our own in-house GPU rig. We call this Tomahawk.

Along this journey we realised that the core of this problem is generative speech(TTS) - highly emotive, covering all languages, best in class and in your own voice.
Since startups are marathons and all problems can be solved if broken down, we broke this down into 3 chapters.
